The retail and technology division is divided into two departments:

  • Retail and Technology (non food and technology products)
  • On premise tracking (Alcoholic Drinks)

The Retail & Technology department audits retail sales inĀ 7 sectors of product classes (Major Domestic Appliances, Small Domestic Appliances, Consumer Electronics, Photo, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Stationery).

The measurement is based on a panel of stores method. The panel covers the following channels :

  • Electrical chain (Census)
  • Buying Groups (Census of the 4 major ones, sample for the rest)
  • Independent electrical Stores (sample)
  • Mass merchants (census)
  • Office equipment Retailers (Census)
  • Computer Specialist (Census and Sample)
  • Telecom Specialists (Sample)

Where :

  • Census means audit of all stores of the retailer(s) belonging to the specific channel.
  • Sample means a statistical sample of the stores of the retailer(s) belonging to the channel. Samples are drawn by random stratified sampling techniques disproportional to numerical distribution.

The on premise tracking department (O.P.T) audits wholesales from wholesalers nad retail sales from the on premise stores in 6 sectors of alcoholic drinks.

  • White spirits and apperitifs
  • Liquor and Sambuca
  • Beers
  • Ready to drink
  • Ouzo - Tsipouro

The audit is based on on a panel of wholesalers and cavas (liquor stores) for the wholesalers audit and a panel of on premise stores such as bars, restaurants, cafe bars, night live entertainment stores e.t.c
