Retail and Technology division that measures the retails sales done in 76 categories of technical consumer goods grouped in 8 sectors of product classes (Major Domestic Appliances, Small Domestic Appliances, Consumer Electronics, Photo, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Stationery,multifunctional consumer goods).
The measurement is based on a panel of stores method. The panel covers the following channels :
- Electrical chain (Census)
- Buying Groups (Census of the 3 major ones, sample for the rest)
- Independent electrical Stores (sample)
- Mass merchants (census)
- Office equipment Retailers (Census)
- Computer Specialist (Census and Sample)
- Telecom Specialists (Sample)
- Kitchen specialists
- A/C installers

Census means audit of all stores of the retailer(s) belonging to the specific channel.

Sample means a statistical sample of the stores of the retailer(s) belonging to the channel. Samples are drawn by random stratified sampling techniques disproportional to numerical distribution.
